    Hi,

First time posting here… appreciate the help anyone could provide! I’m hoping to use Adobe Premiere Pro to create a certain text effect.

I have a shot, panning left to right, and as I pan, I’d like to make it look like a name is sitting on a table. So that, as i pan from left to right it’s sitting at the same spot on the table… like it would really be sitting there.

Is there anyway to assign a text still to a certain point in the video and as i move the camera around it’d stay at the same point in the video? If anyone happens to watch workaholics, they do it when coming back from, or going to a commercial break.

Looking forward to any help someone can provide! Thanks!

You could key frame the move but it might not give you the effect your looking for because of the natural camera movements. Your best bet would be to add edits at th in and out points of you move and send the clip to after effects with dynamic link . Once there you can add your txt layer and make the move with the motion tracker.

If you are not familiar with the tracker there are many great tutorials here on the cow that will get you pointed in the right direction . Good luck

This is a job for the AE 3D Camera Track, in Premiere you´ll never get same results.
