    In your timeline, select the layer, press ‘A’ for anchor point. To find the exact edge you need to know the file size which can be found by selecting the file in the project file. To put the anchor point at the top-left of the file, enter a value of 0,0 in the anchor point box on the timeline. If you are using a footage file of 720×480 (for example) and want the anchor point on the bottom-left, enter a value of 0,480; for an anchor in the middle on the right side, enter a value of 720,240… and so on.
