I’m having an issue with an anchor point that I’ve never seen before, or maybe just never noticed.

I’ve created a one-word title that I want to extend out from the first letter. The word is “care”. I want the “C” to stay in one place, and the “are” to move out slowly horizontally. I have it working in one place in the video, but I can’t seem to make it work in another, even when I copy the title and use it again somewhere else. It extends from the center, even when I have the keyframe for the anchor point set. I turned off the checkbox for uniform scale, and am using keyframes for only the horizontal axis.

Here’s the real rub. If I scrub in the effects control window, it works. The “C” stays stationary and the rest of the word extends out. But if I scrub on the timeline, it doesn’t. Has anyone seen this behavior before?

    Thanks very much,

    Kent Rich
