    I recently pushed DaVinci Resolve further than I have yet. A project came in that needed a bit of compositing, and I tackled in right in DaVinci Resolve. And with a little help from Boris Continuum Complete, it all came together beautifully.

    thanks for the nice breakdown!

    occlusion shadow, very interesting… and one question: can you resample noise/grain with the
    boris plug-in, or do you have to find a grain that somehow looks familiar?

    There is a BCC filter called Match Grain and, as of Resolve 11.1, the OFX plug-ins can access a secondary layer, so theoretically that will work.

    However, I just used BCC Film Grain and the eyeball test.
