anamorphic widescreen to 4×3 letterboxed workflow
I’ve been given NTSC D1 (720×486) footage that is full-height anamorphic widescreen. The project needs to be finished at NTSC D1 (720×486) 4×3, letterboxed (NOT anamorphic). We’re going to be effecting the footage quite heavily with graphics, and combining scanned and vector elements with it… What do you think the best workflow to follow would be (in ae)? So far I’ve been bringing the footage in (which is anamorphically stretched vertically) and scaling it to 75% height, so it looks normal. Is that a good way to work with this footage/highest quality – or is there a different way, maybe with “interpret footage” or something?
