    Greetings

I am shooting with a Panasonic SDX900 in anamorphic onto DVCPRO50. I set the digitize settings for DVCPRO50 anamorphic to suck the footage into my computer.
*How do I export footage out of FCP so I can work with it in the proper format in After Effects?
*When the program is finished, what is the best way to set up an export as an MPEG2 file to create a DVD? Before the MPEG2 file can be exported, you first have to render the program as one full quick time movie don’t you? Do you use the same settings as if you were exporting footage for AE?

    Hi There,
Post this in the AE forum. People will jump all over it and it gets tons of traffic.

    Thanks Joey

I did more for the AE side and was looking for some guidance for the FCP side here

Export a reference movie at your current settings and bring it into Compressor for the conversion. I’m not sure how good Compressor is for the downconversion (SD DVD, right), but I assume it’s fine.
