Okay here’s the deal. A I’m working on a series of commercials that were shot on Sony Beta SX in 16×9. The project is being edited on FCP 5.1 and the graphics for the spots have been composited in AE 6.5. Everything is done. But now the producer says he needs the spots without letter boxes.

I know this should be a quick fix. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the letter boxes?

    Thank you

OK. So you have all your stuff (16×9) laid in a 4×3 time line. isn’t it? And you want to get rid off the two black bands on top and down, right?
    – Duplicate your sequence.
    – Open the “Sequence setting” and check “Annamorphic”.
_ Select the clips in the time-line and make a “Remove Atributes”.
    – When the window pronts, click “Distort”.
Should workslike that. Now you have all the 16×9 stuff filing your 16×9 screen.
