I have a timeline in Vegas Pro 8 that is anamorphic. I want to send it to DVDA5 and end up with a nice wide screen video when I play it on a big TV. I can’t remember the right combination of selections when creating the Main Comcept mp2 file and then burning with DVDA. If I select 16×9 when I render the mpt2 file, must I do it again in DVDA? Or does DVDA figure it out. Every time I do this I just keep shrinking the picture. Or end up with something pillarboxed.

Why not just render it once? Render it using the mpeg for DVDA Widescreen template and then bring that into DVDA along with the audio file as AC3. No need to render twice unless I am missing something.

I do render with the DVDA widescreen template. But when all is done, I have a widescreen frame with pillarboxed anamorphic pictures. I think I have checked options in the template for 16×9 format. But this is what I always get.

Maybe I’m missing something in the template setup.

    Thanks.

If you are bringing 16:9 footage into Vegas set the project properties accordingly. When you render back out keep everything wide. If your DVD player and your TV are set up right it will play correctly.
