Anamorphic or letterbox
I have 2005 DV ftg with Canon XL, don’t know if it was shot anamorphic or 4:3 but seems to be anamorphic. When I captured a few scenes I had the choices of YES/NO to pick. I tried both. The 4:3 plays in letterbox and the other one plays in 16:9. I made a QT file from 16:9 and it plays widescreen.
Question is will both play letterbox on DVD, which one should I pick?

Choose the one that comes out 16:9. On a 4:3 set, it will letterbox, and on a 16:9 set, it can fill the frame.
