Anamorphic issues, getting messed up during Save. Please help!
Anamorphic issues. Please help!
I’m in the UK working in PAL using latest version of Final Cut Pro.
Here is my workflow:
HDV 720p/25p footage edited in native HDV timeline.
Creating a Standard Definition 8-bit uncompressed widescreen 16:9 timeline.
Cut/Paste HDV 720p/25p sequence and drop it onto 8-bit SD timeline. When I view 8-bit uncompressed SD 16:9 timeline and play back footage, all looks fine in FCP, it is widescreen and displays perfectly in 16:9.
However, when I go to Save/Save as QuickTime and save as reference with same settings. The final saved movie only displays as 4:3 in the QuickTime player i.e. everyone looks tall and thin.
Any ideas why saving this way doesn’t retain widescreen?
I need this to be widescreen at this point as it is this file that I want to dump into Episode Pro for MPEG encoding for DVD.
At first I thought it was Episode doing this, but it is happening during the save stage at Final Cut Pro.
