PPro handles anamorphic footage from RED cameras at 2.1:1. How does one work with 2.35:1. Looks like one has to convert R3D files to MOV with REDCINE-X then edit in PPro with the MOV files.

Create a sequence, choose a Red preset, hit the Settings tab and adjust the width and height as you see fit.

By default, clips placed in a resized sequence will be cropped. If you right click them you can scale to frame size if you want to have shadow bars.

PPro presets are not set in stone.

Are you, in contrast, talking about shooting with a different pixel aspect ratio? In my experience I’ve only seen 1:1 (square) PARs from Reds.
