Hi everyone – thanks for the help in advance:

I recently captured footage with the DV NTSC 48 kHZ Anamorphic preset. However, I did not shoot the footage as anamorphic (I realize I should have used just the DV NTSC 48 preset)

I noticed in the clip settings there is an “Anamorphic” column with check marks by the clips I captured with this preset. Bringing the clip to the timeline to edit, I can see it looks smashed horizontally. I unchecked the Anamorphic and brought the clip down a second time, and it looks fine.

My question is, even though the clip looks fine after unchecking Anamorphic, has the clip become inferior to a version captured without the Anamorphic preset? Should I recapture all the clips using the non-anamorphic preset, or is it fine just unchecking anamorphic?

    Thanks, Ryan

No!!! The only difference is in the way it’s displayed.
