    anamorphic 16:9 to digitalbeta

    Hi all, just wanted to see if anyone remembers how to set up a digital betacam to record 16:9 anamorphic (not 4:3 letterbox) from FCP. I can’t find the setting in the digibeta menu.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Ron,

    You don’t set it to record 16×9 anamorphic, you just set it to record standard 4×3. It will record the signal as 4×3 squeezed anamorphically, which displays unsqueezed 16×9 on widescreen monitors.

    Hi everybody,
    i have a 30 sec. film shot on super-16 format. Need to record it on the Digital betacam in 16:9 format. Haven’t done this at all. Can somebody please guide me.
