    Hi There,

I wonder if any of you guys have tried to deliver a comp to someone requesting 16:9 anamorphic?

Do you create your graphics anamorphic and visualize everything anamorphic, or do you work with the elements in correct ratio and the later stretch it before rendering?

WhatI mean is I have a difficult time to see if I made a nice comp if everything is anamorphic.

    What do you do?

    Thank you.

Create your composition with one of the widescreen presets and work with the pixel aspect ratio correction on, this will allow you to see what it should look like upon final display.

As for delivering this asset, that will depend on your method of delivery. I’m guessing that the client wants the footage on a tape, in which case I’m not all that familiar with how 16:9 footage is handled but my guess would be that the NLE you’re using to print to tape will have some say in the matter.

Remember, 16:9 NTSC/PAL footage and 4:3 NTSC/PAL footage have the same pixel resolution, it’s just a matter of interpreting the footage to stretch or squeeze it to the correct aspect ratio.
