Analog capture in Vegas 7
I’ve done this in the past, but cannot for the life of me get it to work tonight! I have my Canon GL2 connected to the VCR and the camcorder connected to the computer via firewire. I want to use the camcorder as a analog to digital converter. Vegas Video Capture is not recognizing the VCR. There is a setting in Vegas that I am missing…anyone KNOW what it is????

In Vidcap:
Options – Prefs – Enable DV device control.
Make sure this is deselected. -
BINGO….thanks! I have no idea why, but I tried that at least a dozen times to no avail. It worked when I unhooked the firewire cable and plugged it back in…go figure!
