Was wondering if anyone knew how to create anaglyphic (red/cyan) 3d video from a single video source within vegas or knew of any freeware plugins that can produce this effect.

I’ve tried and come up with an ugly purple effect

3D from one source video? Are you kidding?
(or do you mean pulfrich 3d?)

I have done 3d video from vegas4, but i have 2 video stream,
    from two d8 camcorders.
It works! Color filters and screen mode do the job!

3d video from a single video source possible, but very expensive:
    https://www.in-three.com/
For dual camera rig or Camcorder with NuView adapter its easy:

    Good luck!

well, i can do it with a freeware prog called ‘StereoMovie Maker’; i was just hoping that there was some way to do it within Vegas so i wouldn’t have to yo-yo the vid between progs and risk losing quality

i also can do somewhat of an offset using the trimmer but i don’t know how to get the appropriate color out of each ‘offset’

i think i can do it in Magix… but i’d rather keep everything in one application

The first solution is very expansive, not for home video makers.
The second is better, but not good. The two picture is not in syncron, if a fast moving object is
on the screen, it is not in 3D. I tested it.
The best method is using 2 synronised camera (with LANC controller)
