An unspecified AVI or DirectShow error ocurred.
hi guys n girls,
can someone please help me with this i imported some motion backgrounds for use in my project and was working with them until the next time i launched AE and the backgrounds appeared as offlines. I got this response: After Effects error: an unspecified AVI or DirectShow error ocurred. (1)(53::33).
Can anyone PLEASE help me with this.

Where did the AVI files come from? What codec do they use? This error usually indicates that there’s something wrong with the files.
Try starting a new project and testing the files in there. Close and reopen the project a couple of times. Comparison test to other files. See if you can narrow down the cause of the problem a little.
If all else fails, try reinstalling AE.
