  • An unexpected award! So exciting!!

I just received an email regarding some industry awards that is so exciting I had to brag on ourselves just a little bit and pass the news along to my friends here in this forum.

According to an email I just received… it seems that our modest little company, Fantastic Plastic Entertainment, Inc., has just received the highest honors from the US Commerce Association.

It seems that we have won the “2009 Best of Salt Lake City Award” in the “Plastic Processing” category.

We are very humbled, excited, and mostly surprised, considering that:

    1) We are in Huntsville Alabama and have never even been to Utah, much less Salt Lake City…

    2) We are a television and film production company that has nothing to do with “plastic processing” whatsoever.

Still, far be it from us to turn down any accolades! Their helpful web link even includes an image of the sharp-as-a-tack plaque that we will receive for what I’m sure are only modest shipping and handing charges.

I haven’t yet clicked on the final “accept your award” link, but am anxious to do so as I’m sure there will be a substantial cash prize.

    Exciting, huh??!! ….. Jealous, much?

    People… please…

    T2

I got one of those too!!! Something about “Outstanding Multi-Media Company” yada yada yada… But they did get the town right.

I’m sure the award is Italian from the Fragilé company…..

While not an award, for the 5th time this year a long lost relative in London has died leaving me his fortune. My previously unknown London family is dwindling.

Oh, and I was able to help a friend get back home after his wallet was stolen, oddly enough, in London. All I had to do was give him my bank account number.

There is so much generosity in the world.

    Congrats to you all.

That’s so kind of you Mike. I once helped an African Prince reclaim millions of dollars just by my sending him a check to cover the processing fees. My share is 25% of all the claim. I’m sure it will be here any day now, he was such a nice guy……

    Todd,

If it’s a reasonable amount, you should “buy” it! It will look great in the lobby, and any of your
clients with a sense of humor will appreciate it. Definitely worth the cost.

They awarded the “Best in (Your City Here)” to the entity we haven’t done business as in about 5 years…but hey, saving trees by using old phone books as the source for their stringent evaluation demands some trade-offs I guess.

I’m guessing the “U.S. Commerce Association” also does business as “Earl’s Plaque Shoppe”…

I’m almost as humbled by this award as I was the last time I was inducted into one of those “Who’s Who” (among people gullible enough to buy this book) books…

I’m going to create “Who’s Who to End all Who’s Who” and see how many people we can get to sign up….

Hey, wait a second. I live in Salt Lake City and I didn’t win anything from “Earl’s Plaque Shoppe and Used Furniture Store.” I guess my luck has dried out because I never helped that African Prince.

“Fragile'” Sounds Italian. You should plug it in, and put it in the front window. It is, after all, a “major award”.
