an unattended series of renders
I have a list of projects that I would like to render. Additionally, I will be using Xvid so each project will have to be rendered twice. It would be nice to have all these tasks programmed so that I will have to pay attention.
Is there a way to program a series of renders without requiring user input?
Even if there isn’t a way to render more than one project, but only rendering just one project for the two passes without user interaction between, is helpful.

Look at the Veggie Toolkit for a very flexible batch renderer. However, Vegas DOES come with a built-in batch renderer – tools / scripting / Batch Render.
I believe you’ll need the extra capabilities of the veggie toolkit, though.

Thank you. That bundled script may not have the feature of rendering multiple projects, but at least I can have one project render both passes. This is important when rendering takes around 8 hours (for a 3 minute video :)).

The bundled script will also allow you to render regions. With the ability to import other projects as clips, you could create a new project, then place each of the projects you want to render on the timeline. Make each of the projects on that timeline a region, then use the batch render with the region option set. This will render out each region (in this case each project) for you as a separate file.
