An official statement regarding keyboard shortcuts ?
Hello BMD team,
as much as I am enjoying the latest version(s) my and my fellow grading colleagues are wondering why and how often essential keyboard shortcuts have to change.
I understand it makes the experience better for new people, but for someone using it on a daily base it kinda slows down work for a couple of weeks.
I don’t mind shelling out another 100 bucks for a new keyboard, as I did last year from 8 to 9 , but today I used a couple of muscle memory shortcuts and it made me look pretty stupid.So please stick with the ones developed for R10 for at least two years…

that’s one of the reason why I can’t get the big panels out of my head.
Of course it’s not priced for small studios, so buying it would be a stupid thing, but:
1 – maybe BMD comes out with a smaller panel that has all the most necessary buttons (with the Tangent Wave I only use a few shortcuts on my keyboard like disable ALL nodes, disable current node, Save, highlight , etc)
2 – or somehow the prices for used panels will go down (i don’t think so)But the strange thing is that even the Wave panel mapping changed with upgrading to V10. For example what I really likt to use (master offset) is is moved from the Primary page. So if I want to adjust the Saturiation and the Master Offset, I have to push the “page selector” button, which I never ever used in V9.

Or a panel mapper, but as it is, I am getting more apprehensive by the hour about how fragile the third-party panel support actually is.
And as far as an intermediate-price BMD control panel — not in the cards.

While we’re on the subject of shortcuts, I have another gripe in connection with the shortcuts.
Say, I start Resolve and the shortcut for jumping between cuts is arrow UP and arrow DOWN. If I restart Resolve, that shortcut mysteriously changes to Page UP and Page DOWN. And then on the next restart it may go back to arrow UP and arrow DOWN or not. Every time I start Resolve I must check all shortcuts and reprogram my shortcuts as needed. Or the Lightbox shortcut. Sometimes the shortcut for it there and sometimes it’s just empty. Anyone else experienced it? -
Maybe it is system problem ?
I having one.
Some shortcuts just do not work despite the name in the menus like
alt+5 does not work but alt+6 does.Maybe it is os problem but i have no way to trace this problem.

I’ve had an issue as well where the keyboard shortcut for split screen sometimes shows up in the menu and sometimes doesn’t. That shortcut has never worked for me!
