I have sony vegas pro 9 and everytime i am creating a movie this message appears: ‘An error occured during the current operation. An exception has occured.’ When I click close the message box, the whole application closes. Then in the message box when i click details, all this appears:

04D5FFFC: 00000000I also have this problem when i try to open the saved file again, I get the same box appears and it wont let me get onto my movie. I get this every single time on SV without fail. I dont understand why so many people praise SV- so far my experience with it is that it’s horrible. Please will somebody help me fix this problem, as I have a project I need finished by Wednesday. Thank you so much in advance to anyone who can please help.

You are not using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0. From the dump I can see that you are clearly using Movie Studio Platinum 9.0. It’s important because people will give you advice for Vegas Pro which make not work with Movie Studio.

There are lots of types of MP4 files that you can download form the Internet that will caused video editors to blow up.

If all of the media for your project is in a single folder, try renaming that folder, copying the project file (*.vf) to a new folder and open it. When it prompts you to find the missing media, add back each file one at a time. When the program crashes, the last file you added was the problem. If they all load correctly then try saving after each file is loaded by telling Movie Studio to ignore all missing media and leave them off-line. Then save, load again, and add one more missing media file, ignore, save, repeat.
If all of your media is not in a single folder then now would be a good time to move it all into a single folder and try the procedure above again.

Probably because their media is compatible. One bad media file can really ruin your day. 😉
