    Hi,

    I just wanted to share it may help someone in the same situation.

    Yesterday we finished a 15 day, day&night working project.
    Today we came to the studio and the project file and 5 autosave files are corrupt!!!! they are not opening, giving every wierd error code. Searched the web, no solution, importing to a new project, after effects, just copying the file somewhere else offlining everthing, nope!

    We made a short render 1 day back with media encoder. so in
    Users…AppData-Local-Temp I found that prproj file and lost only 1 days work.

    so what I learned;
    -always use media encoder
    -if working on the same file for days, weeks, make copies with save as and increase the version number, continue working on the new file
    – there is a copy of every encoder rendered prproj file under Users…AppData-Local-Temp

    i wonder if you’re having the same issue that I had. (https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/936325)

    Did you use any audio filter effects (and then maybe update the plugins?)

    I had an issue where all project files (autosaves, previous and alternate versions, etc.) were all listed as corrupt or “an error occurred”

    I opened then on another workstation here that doesn’t have any audio plugins and it it worked fine. I stripped out all the audio plugins from each sequence and it would then open on the original workstation.

    I wonder if this issue extends to any other plugins/utilities.

    Premiere definitely needs a little more gracious error handling!

    Thanks for putting this info in the forum. I haven’t run into that error yet, but if I do, I know I can now search for the workaround here.
