    Problem
My presets for the quicktime and AVI file formats do not show any HD presets for export, just DV NTSC.
When i choose h.264 Format it shows all of the HD codecs.
    Am i missing something?

I just made the switch from MAC FCP to PC Adobe. I shoot with a DSLR and would like to transcode all of my footage to a Prores PC equivalent. I do lots of intensive FX and composting and so I need a full flavor codec that is manageable in file size/ bandwidth. I installed AVID codecs but they are not showing up in Adobe media encoder but they are working in AEP…
I am looking at using AVID DNxHD 220 10 bit Codec for for projects that are 1920×1080 24 and 30 FPS progressive type footage. I am used to working Prores 422 HQ.

Should I forget AME and go with Steamclip?

I am open to suggestions and would love to hear what kind of transcoding workflows/ codecs are working best for you.

I have PC win7 with ADOBE Production Suite 5.5
    i7 2700
    16gigs RAM
    gtx570
