Nice! Will we be able to squeeze one of these into a late model cheesegrater Mac Pro?

… Or the new Toaster Oven Mac Pro that will replace the Trashcan.

I was seriously hoping for combination microwave slash(/) convection oven.

You realize, of course, that it will be able to spy on you… Therefore, it will actually be a microwave-slash-convection oven-slash surveillance device.

Oh right, of course. I need to get my facts alternatively straight.

[Craig Seeman] “Perhaps this is what we’ll see (or the subsequent generation) in next year’s Mac Pro.”

I doubt Apple will make the mistake of using “old” GPU tech again in the next round. We’re supposedly at least a year away from anything, and by then there’ll have been all kinds of new developments from both major GPU manufacturers. But something like this most definitely will have to at least be POSSIBLE, yes. I don’t know why Apple has seemingly turned their back completely on Nvidia (and don’t really care), but who knows if the next MP doesn’t mark a return. At least optionally. Especially if they are once again considered the most powerful. Never mind the people that have bought into CUDA being the non-plus-ultra.

But then, to offer true modularity, I think there’s no getting around slots of sorts, in which case they may simply offer a bare-bones BTO that you can feed with whatever you think best. Either way, I’m very eager to see what happens as I’m sure pretty much everyone is! ????
