I linked the folder containing all my r3d files and imported a ton of master clips, but all of them are offline. I try to relink them but no dice. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

The footage and project are both HD 23.98. I tried opening them up on RedAlert and they pull up just fine. I’d love to be able to edit this natively and avoid transcoding if at all possible.

    Please help!

    Thank you,

    Brian

Do you still have the hard drive attached holding the RED files?

For AMA to work you must have the original data/media/folder location connected at all times. Re-link only applies to media that has been added to the Avid media file databases, ie via import or capture.

FWIW, editing natively (I assume 4K?) is kinda a moot point given Avid tops out at 1080. I think you’ll find transcoding will ultimately make your job quicker.
