Hi, I’m having issues transcoding an AMA linked sequence, what seems to happen is a section of V1 is missed and then the whole of V1 is then shifted / offset by the amount missed from then onwards. V2 is complexly unaffected. I’ve tried lifting out a clip that I though may be an issue, but I still get the problem. Has anyone had this before?

To give a quick rundown of the workflow

I’m on Avid Media Composer 8.4.5

the editor has finished a sequence cut at proxy, I’ve relinked the sequence back to the 4k XAVC-I source files and am now attempting to transcode the sequence to DNxHD 185x to deliver to a VFX company to start their work. As a side note, the rushes were acquired at 4k for resizes, not for finishing resolution, the finishing is still at HD.

    Thanks in advance!

    Ed

We’re the proxies a different frame rate than the originals?

Yep, all the same frame rate

I discovered that it was being caused by a resize effect on the clip, stripping it off fixed the issue. Clueless as to why though, some kind of bug?
