AMA Link (Avid MC 8.1) with C300 mxf files not uploading – invalid file name
Hello please help, Im a recent avid convert from fcp
I am trying to AM link some c300 footage shot last year and the error message – invalid file name keeps appearing. Tried to import too and having the same problem. The structure or names of the original media has not been altered. My mac is running on 10.9 Maverick. Does anyone know a way to make it recognise my files.
I have not added any plug ins, as I am under the impression that 8 – does not need the cannon mxf plug. However could be totally misinformed.

You do need the Canon AMA plug-in, and from what I read, install all of of them, not just the one you think you need:
https://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/en394971Also the filename may be correct but there might be an issue somewhere along the file path with illegal characters. Check to make sure. A / is a common culprit.

It was the / in the date in my folder. Once I changed that they all came flooding in.
