Am I Crazy?
I thought I had fixed this problem. Recently FCP has started exporting ref files with random field order. Some ref files are upper and others are lower and a couple are progressive. This is from the same sequence whose setting for field order is lower. I determined the field order by looking in the inspector in Compressor after importing the ref files. (I export video only, use DVDSP markers and separately export aiffs).
What I’ve tried to fix this: Trashed FCP, DVDSP and Compressor prefs and repaired permissions. I made a new sequence in the existing project and copied the old sequence into it. I made a new project, opened a seq and copied the old into it. In all cases I exported the same file. In all cases the file comes out with upper order when the seq settings are lower. I tried making a mv2 in Compressor, setting the field order to upper and burning it to see if the field order really was upper and it was. (It looked fine on the DVD).
I’m stumped. Any ideas?
