May 10, 2010 at 1:59 pmSnow Leopard problem: I’d like to change the default app for opening .mp4 files. Although Finder/Help says I should be able to use Finder/File/Always Open With, I don’t find Always Open in that location. Instead, I find Open With/Other/Choose Application, with a little checkbox for “Always Open With.”
When I checkmark “Always Open With,” it will open in the desired (non-default) app, but just that once.
Is there another way to change the default open-with app?
Thanks.

May 10, 2010 at 4:02 pmI haven’t yet made the plunge to Snow Leopard, but perhaps it’s the same as in Leopard (10.5.8). Select the file you want to change > get info > Open with > Change All.
