    Hello,

Something a bit frustrating going on. I have a load of pictures I have put on the timeline, added a motion to them, and also (and I think that is what caused it) I added feathering to the edge of the photos.

Now, whenever I add a transition between the pictures, I need to render before I can view the result.
Is this normal? Any idea how to get past this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Al

    [Allan Martin] “Is this normal?”

Yes. Because they aren’t media files, they are stills. And because of the feathering.

Don’t feather them until you are done getting the moves right.

I second Shane’s comment. Speed up your workflow by placing the elements in the timeline first, then add motion and FX once your timeline is roughed out.
