Obviously a crossed wire somewhere – we are discussing the Multibridge Pro. Neither this nor the Eclipse (the only two current products) support simultaneous SD/HD output. I cannot speak for the Extreme (the older version of the MBP) although I cannot find any mention of simultaneous SD/HD output in the Extreme’s manual. It says the same as the MBP however about the Analogue outputs: “Note: You won’t see any output on the NTSC/PAL outputs if the desktop is set to HD modes”.
BM have confirmed to me there is no simultaneous SD/HD output, and I cannot see any way of specifying a secondary format to SDI output 2 on either the MBP or Multibridge Extreme. A direct quote from BM Europe is: “The only card that we have that does split downconversion is the HD Pro Pci-x. All of the other cards only do one or the other.”
Can you explain how you set it up?

February 11, 2009 at 5:26 pmwow thats weird.
they featured it as a key selling point when I purchased.
it almost seems like they don’t want anyone to know about it.in the decklink prefs, on the downconversion section, there
is an upper section (software) and a lower section (hardware)
that specify the options: HD to SD letterbox, anamorphic, center cut etc…I just use the hardware one to do letterbox and it just comes
out SD-SDI channel B to my sony crt and HD to the plasma over component. -

February 11, 2009 at 9:22 pmThanks Chris – I’ll definitely investigate this when I can find the missing PCI lead for my MBP – doesn’t seem to be in the box that just came back from a job…
I’ll let you know if it’s still working – never used the component outputs on MBP, but my JVC 24″ supports everything, so I can check all the outputs.

February 11, 2009 at 10:39 pmif you do use the component you also have to have “enable downconversion on analog outs”
good luck!

March 9, 2010 at 4:02 pmI'm trying to capture from a Sony DVW-A500 Digibeta with a Blackmagic Multibridge Pro in Final Cut Pro 7.0. We do not recognize the beta. It went down and installed the drivers and the analog signal we will see. And output Final Cut Digibeta to occur. But we can not capture. To this function does not recognize the Digibeta. The main question is are there any special configuration we need to do in Final Cut?
