I posted this message a month ago in ‘Media Formats | Media Capacities’. I got no response, so i don’t know i what forum category to post it. I hope you can achieve my wish with premiere, so that’s why i am posting it here.

    Hi there,

A lot of times we get requests from clients who want us to make a nice animated presentation for them. For us as a motion graphic company that’s no problem. The only thing is that the animation has to stop at a certain point (Automatically) so that the speaker can do his thing and continue with one press on a button.
Usually our clients use Powerpoint. And yes, we could achieve this effect with powerpoint. But is think there must be an easier and better way of doing this. Because my experience with powerpoint is that it doesn’t handle video very well.

So what i wish that would exist, that we made an animation and we could embed commands in that video that it will auto pause. So when the client hit the space bar that it will continue again.

Is there something like this? Or do you guys know an alternative? I know Prezi, but that is also still not what i want.
I would love some suggestions. I found this thread of 8 years ago which didn’t had the perfect conclusion. Bu i’m hoping that technology in the last 8 years thought of something like this 😉

    Thank you in advance.

Depending on which version of Adobe software you’re using, you might want to take a look at Edge Animate. If you’re on CC, then you already have it, or at least have access to it. One of it’s main benefits for you would be that it acts a lot like Premiere and AE, so you already know basically how it works. A distraction may be that, I believe, it only outputs HTML based presentations, so your program will have to run in a browser window, but there are ways to hide the browser chrome.

Flash is another option, if you’re not afraid to learn a little scripting language.

But a Google search for ‘multimedia presentation software’ will bring you scads of programs to look at, and most offer free trial downloads.
