Hello! Apologies if this question is very basic.

I have several png images that I need to add to a video. The text, however, is black but I need to make it white and put it on a black background. How can I adjust the color of the png? Is that possible to do in FCP7 or do I have to do it in Photoshop?

    Thank you!

You need to do that in Photoshop or other photo/image editor.

you could try opening in Preview, opening the colour pane (Option Command C, i think)
and try tweaking the sliders to their extreme opposites, but it will probably look bad!
there’s no simple Invert function, i suspect.

however, there IS an INVERT filter in FCP you can use.

Effects > Video Falters > Channel > Invert
you could re-export as PNG or whatever if you wanted
