  • Alter QT TC – Sebsky Tools vs. FCP Modify TC command

Read this in a post below (one of Shane’s awesome stock answers)- and I have a tangential question:

Also, if you just had a black QT file, you can change the starting TC to suite the tape; i.e. 00:58:00:00 or 02:58:00:00 etc without going back into FCP or Xpress Pro and rendering out another QT. To do this, just use Sebsky Tools to alter the starting TC of the file.

I’m faced with a situation where I need to create timecode tracks within a number of Quicktime files that were acquired outside of FCP. I was planning on using the Modify/Timecode… command within FCP. Is there a compelling reason to use Sebsky Tools instead?

    Thanks – Bill

I’m using 10.4.11 and I can’t even get the program to run. Any suggestions?
