What is the best way to export a sequence for keying into FCP?
I have an shot of a surfer I want to cut out or Mask in AE
and then comp onto an image in FCP.CAn I just cut out and export with some sort of transparency
or should I put on a blue background for keying..?Thanx

you can render out with an alpha. Add your comp to the render queue, select a format that supports alpha channels (quicktime/tga or whatever). Make sure RGB + alpha is selected and millions of colours+ (the + means alpha).
I haven’t used FCP much but I’m sure it will handle the alpha just fine.
