    Hi,

I have imported some images with alpha from PS into AE.
When applying a mask, the mask will not fit to the masked out area, the mask is rectangular and fit to the composition edges.
    How to avoid this?

Is there any way to convert the alphas to mask shapes?

Look at using the Autotrace feature. You’ll find it under the Layer menu.

    Perfect, thanks!

Im used to choking and blurring the alphas, but sometimes you need a mask.
