alpha keeps turning on in materials
i’m using Cinema 7.3 and for some reason my alpha keeps getting checked off on its own within my materials window. anyone have any suggestions? i keep getting errors when this happens.

Maybe some of the images you are using do not have a correct Alpha embedded, so C4D keeps turning it off. sorry, no other ideas. v7 is too far in the past for me and I can’t remeber if there are any specific bugs.

As Mylenium says too long ago to remember but I would start by trying to toss preferences (in the Prefs folder if that exists in 7) and see if that gets the alpha to start unchecked

my bad, i’m actually using version 9. i’m using a layer in the color section and one in transparency to key out parts of the other image. my image does have an alpha in the photoshop file, could this be the problem? its a really random thing that occurs but seems to happen right when i render.
