    Changing the Alpha handling of a clip/image with an embedded Alpha channel (in the Inspector/Info/Settings View/Alpha handling pop-up), even when it is already edited as an instance into the timeline and that’s the clip you are modifying, you are changing the global settings for the clip not an individual instance.

    This means that you couldn’t have two versions of the same clip with different alpha settings – e.g. if you wanted to dissolve between a version that used the alpha and one where the alpha was ignored. You would have to make a copy of the clip externally and bring this in.

    Not a big deal, but something to bear in mind.
