I’d like to make an animated logo transition for a program being edited in FCP. I’d like to use a lens flare effect across the frame as the logo rotates. In the past I’d just create a black solid and lay the lens flare on it and change it to screen to get rid of the black. That works great for most things, but I don’t get a keyable alpha channel. How can I lay on a lens flare with an alpha channel?

    Yep,
as Mylenium has suggested, download the UNMULT plugin for free from the website and that should fix your problem.
I had the same problem and it fixed it with that plugin. 🙂

Thanks, that did the trick! Haven’t had a chance to try it, but was wondering if this plugin would work with similar problems I encountered with the render lightning effect.
