Alpha channel on plane causing reflection problem.
Hi all,
Worst time to hit a brick wall and need advice is friday afternoon when everyone is already at the pub!
I am rendering type & images .png’s on planes above a reflective object, it would look lovely if these reflected with a slight blur (as is possible in the reflection channel). However what does not look so good is it reflects the WHOLE plane including TRANSPARENT area around the type or image. Its hair pullingly frustrating!
I know c4d has issues with alpha (was really hoping 11.5 might have fixed this!). I have had similar problems with depth mattes and object glows in the past. I know DOF at least can be fixed by using enDOFin.
But is there anything that will correct reflections on alpha channels as natural physics intended? 🙂
