I use PS to make FCP graphics all the time. And when exporting text,
I usually flatten all the layers, then use the magic wand to highlight, move to channels, and create an alpha.

My question is; is there a quicker way? It seems ridiculous that I have to go around clicking here and there. I’m sure there is a way…and I’ve simply overlooked it in my PS education!

    Thanks

I collapse them all down to one layer, so that I can then use the wand to select/deselect the areas I want to matte out.

Like I said, this is just the way I learned years ago and I doubt it’s the most efficient! I don’t use type from PS a lot, and when I do it’s usually large, so selecting is easy. But I just know there must be another way..
