I used to edit with Adobe Premier 6 years ago when it was popular. If it were not for CreativeCow at the time I would never have learned it. I used it to do a specific project for a Foundation which I completed and then shelved the whole program until now.
I want to put some of my tapes on DVD now but I no longer have AP6 or Dazzle captive installed. It seems I remember Dazzle being bought out by Pinnacle and that Dazzle support was no longer available. I still have the AP6 hardware and software and the Dazzle stuff. I don’t know if it still works. I remember I had some problems with it but was no longer able to contact Dazzle support.
My question is, should I try to use AP6 again or scrap the whole thing and buy a new program. I notice they have come down in price. I notice also that with WinXP I have a Movie Maker. I just need a capture device. Any recommendations? I sure don’t need anything as big as AP6 to do what I want to do now.
My computer has 1.4 gh, 40 gig hard drive, 512 RAM, a DVD burner and USB ports.
Any help here would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

If you just want to capture and create DVDs, take a look at ScLive for capturing purposes and a simple program such as TMPGEnc for DVD authoring purposes. For a price of $100 you can get both and be up and running.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll certainly look into it.
