  • Allowing custom images in mogrt template for Premiere Pro

I’m making a set of custom, news graphic-like templates for a client who doesn’t want to have to leave Premiere Pro. Like a news program, they want to be able to drop in images to which will show up styled in the upper left of the screen when the host of the video is talking about a specific topic. I can’t figure out how to create a mogrt in After Effects that they could import in Premiere that allows for this. Any idea?

You’ll want to utlise alpha channels when building After Effects. That is to say render out videos with an alpha channel. The news team can then add these videos above their images.

You could use linked projects between AE and Premiere etc…, but that will add rendering time for the client.
