All of a sudden my PDW-1500 XDCAM HD will not insert
Everything worked perfectly, but after messing with some digibeta mastering, my PDW-1500 XDCAMHD recorder will not Insert edit. (HD SDI) FCP will not let me drag my timeline on the insert”area”.. only assemble. Assembling works great, but its very annoying if I need to fix some stuff on the masterdisks. Have I managed to check a pref that stops me inserting ?

Hi Anders,
I’ve never worked with one of those disk so I don’t know if to INSERT you need the disk stripped as it happens when working with tapes.

I forgot to tell that the disks are striped. Finalcut will not let me drag the timeline to Insert area in edit to tape window, which makes me think that this must a fcp thingy.

Have you set your Easy Setup back to it setting before the digibeta mastering?
Have you checked to see if a menu setting in the deck has been changed?
