All Capital letters
This has just happend all of a sudden, when I use type in photoshop CS it always appears as capital letters.
This is irrespective of the position of the Cap Lock key.
I would like to know what is causing this.

What font are you using? Some fonts are all caps. There’s also an All Caps option in the Character palette, but I don’t know if it works on all fonts.
