Aligning a layers axis/achorpoint to a null
Hi there folks,
just one quick question:
i have imported several nulls from a 3d scene out of 3dsMax and now i want to pin some of my layers’ pivot/anchors exactly to these nulls positions, also with all three axis pointing in the same direction as the nulls. Is there a quick workaround for that?

See if Alt-parenting to the null does the trick.
“To make a child layer jump when a parent is assigned or removed, hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) as you assign or remove the parent.”

(“Jump” here means to the parent’s position and transformation.)

If I’ve understood correctly, you want to hold Shift while parenting; this will reset transforms, relative to the parent.
