I am trying to align the shadow direction with the rotation of my object…

so that when I rotate my little logo… the shadow direction is always at 180 degrees

I thought this would be as simple as pick whipping the rotation then adding a -90.

It almost works but not quite..

anyone got any clever ideas.. I’m a bit stumped !!

    cheers

    Alex

    Try this:

    value – transform.rotation

Lovely works a treat.. thankyou very much..

just so I understand what is going on..

It’s just taking it’s current value (which is -180) then subtracting the layers rotation..

    so simple…

    thanks again !!!

Can you do this with a different layer controlling the rotation?

So layer 1 is a background, layer two is some lines, and layer three is some text. Layers two and three have drop shadows and are parented to layer one for rotating and scaling and stuff. So I’d like layer one’s rotation to control the other layer’s drop shadows.

    Thanks
