Align layers edge-to-edge to create a slideshow
I have a total of 127 images, and want to align them all edge-to-edge with each other. I want to create what probably best could be described as a slideshow, where all images enters from the right, and moves to the left (and then out of frame) in a linear fashion with a film stripe as a background (so it looks like the images are frames from the film stripe). Is there a way to align all images to the right of each other, where image “1” is to the far left and the image with the highest number is to the far right? Then I can parent them all to a null and create movement that’ll last for 30 minutes or so.
It’s kind of hard to explain, but hopefully you’ll understand what I’m trying to achieve… -

are they all the same pixel size and aspect ratio?
you are better off finding a template.
one way is to create a preComp with (basic number) 12 laid out from end to end.
you will need to do the math and then do a distribute.
I would do it with a subComp (per picture) and duplicate it (11 more).
lay those out. I sometimes scale them down to something manageable so I can do the end to end distro option. then scale up using a null.
so many ways to do this and I’ve done too many times for other reasons but never for a slideshow.
like I said find a template or maybe there is a free script out there.
