What I am trying to achieve is a camera orbing around a subject in a perfect circle path. But it does not to a complete distance around the circle and end, which would be easy enough to draw a mask and paste the path into the cameras position property, but rather in this case, I need the camera to change directions around the circle path, and speed changes as well.

Is there anyway to have a null object, or camera, follow a circle mask path or expression, but instead of having it go linearly around the circle only once, have the ability of choosing at what keyframes the camera will be at which point on the circle?

I thought that came to me was copying and pasting a circle mask path to a null object then precomposing this layer and then time remapping the precomp, which now through change the time remaping you can control where the null object is around the circle when you want. But obviously it’s not that easy… there has to be some way to figure out the position of the null that is being time remapped…

It sounds like you might not need a path at all, just a null at the center of the circle with the camera parented to the null. Then just control the null’s y rotation.

That’s the issue when you are multi-tasking projects and working on 3 different camera animation approaches in AE, the head gets fuzzy.

Thanks for clearing that one up for me.
