  • Align a 3d layer with a 2d layer

I have a 2d video layer as background. I duplicated it, and made the layer on top 3d. Is there a quick/easy way to align the two layers in space?

I’m not entirely sure if this is even possible, but I’d love whatever advice you guys have. Here’s a screenshot if my explanation wasn’t clear.

    Thanks!

I don’t think I did a very good job describing what I needed.

I’m trying to keep the 3d layer on the same plane in z-space, but orient it to line up as though it was that original 2d layer behind it. So the 3d layer looked identical to the 2d layer, but still having the 3d layer remain 3 dimension. I can get close to this by adjusting the rotation/position/scale, but I’m wondering if there is a faster method.

    Thanks!

Take a look at the following thread – https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1040629#1040903

This may fit the bill as well.
